VOLUNTEER CENTRE CO-ORDINATOR
About us:
VAEF is a local charity that provides support to voluntary and community organisations and volunteers in Epping Forest district and beyond. It runs a range of projects that assist vulnerable people including, befriending, handyman, benefits guidance, and those with learning disabilities.
About you:
You will be responsible for matching potential volunteers with local volunteering opportunities as well as advising groups on volunteering issues. Your own administration tasks will include updating the database and collecting statistics. You will be actively promoting and developing volunteering across the Epping Forest district. IT skills, to include the use of social media, and access to own transport are essential.
Key responsibilities
These will include:
- To promote volunteering opportunities to members of the public
- To support voluntary organisations to recruit volunteers for specific roles
- To develop local volunteering opportunities with voluntary organisations
- To champion volunteering, collecting evidence of the impact and difference that volunteers make to the Epping Forest district.
The skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of good practice around volunteering
- Good communications skills with a friendly, approachable personality
- Excellent organisational skills
This role is funded until 31st March 27
14 hours per week (Remote working but to include 4 hours on a Monday at the Civic Hub, Epping, other hours/days by mutual arrangement)
Salary: £12,225 per annum
